Job description

1. Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
2. Must have a deep knowledge of HMO accounting system
3. Perform month end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
4. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
5. Generate financial reports and statements to manager for review
6. Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions
7. Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances report the same to management
8. Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion
9. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts
10. Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations
11. Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations
12. Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures
13. Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.

1. B.Sc. Accounting (ACA/ACCA Intermediate level).
2. Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. Previous experience in the HMO industry will be an advantage.
3. Good knowledge of the operation of the National Health Insurance Scheme will be a significant advantage.
4. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and sensitive to confidential information.
5. Team oriented with strong management and interpersonal skills
6. Proven experience demonstrating mastery of computerized accounting systems, especially SAGE
7. Proficiency in Microsoft office word, Excel & power point
8. Good communication skills both oral and written.
9. Must have a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
